Neighbourhood upliftmet

Bringing beauty to neighbourhoods and public spaces is a meaningful practice. An opportunity arose to revitalize a wall in a popular Utrecht neighbourhood, on the side of a laundromat in need of visual upliftment.

Public art plays a vital role in enriching the spaces where people live and pass through. For this project I collaborated with a local street artist. The idea was to create an uplifting and engaging mural which residents and passes by would enjoy seeing everyday. Studio Sigmon’s flat style provided a complimentary backdrop for my more narrative-driven symbolic and graphic element. The colour palette infused the wall with a sense of warmth, energy, and renewal—transforming an ordinary street corner into a place of visual enticement and community pride.
